Glossary

Key terms used throughout NimbusWiz:

Audit Logs: A read-only record of every action in NimbusWiz. Updated automatically.

Demo Mode: A platform mode that replaces live data with pre-built demo data, so users can explore NimbusWiz without affecting real systems. Toggled from the sidebar.

Flight Profile: A user-defined operational priority that influences Modernization Advisor recommendations. Options: Performance-focused, Stability-focused, Efficiency-focused. Set per system on the System Detail page.

Modernization Advisor: The NimbusWiz feature that analyzes assessment results, the Quirk Profile, and the Flight Profile to recommend an upgrade path: Upgrade, Partial Modernization, or Replace (Nimbus2026). Each recommendation includes a confidence score and a plain-language rationale.

Network Interaction: A 0 to 100 score reflecting the quality and consistency of a system's network communication. Higher scores indicate cleaner, more reliable network behavior.

Quirk Intelligence: NimbusWiz's capability for learning and tracking system-specific behavioral patterns over time, for example latency spikes under high load or drift during extended operation. Patterns feed into the Quirk Profile and shape upgrade recommendations.

Quirk Profile: The per-system record of behavioral patterns identified by Quirk Intelligence. Quirk data appears in the simulation checkpoint, the Modernization Advisor recommendation factors, and the Troubleshooting page.

Responsiveness Score: A 0 to 100 score reflecting a system's response time under normal and peak load conditions. Higher scores indicate faster, more consistent responses.

Simulation Mode: A dry-run capability that projects post-upgrade metric values without modifying the system. The simulation must pass before deployment can begin.

Stability Index: A 0 to 100 score reflecting a system's reliability and uptime consistency. Calculated from scan results and updated after each assessment. Scores below 50 indicate high risk.

System Modernized: A status badge applied to a system that has completed the full modernization pipeline and whose monitoring metrics are consistently within healthy ranges.

Upgrade profile: A named configuration applied during modernization. NimbusWiz offers three profiles: Stable, Performance, and Extended Operation. Each balances risk, performance gain, and rollout complexity differently.

note

A dedicated Quirk Profile tab on the System Detail page is planned and not yet available.
