Monitoring & alerts
What are the three core metrics?
| Metric | What it measures |
|---|---|
| Stability Index | System reliability and uptime consistency. 0 to 100; higher is more stable. |
| Responsiveness Score | Response time under normal and peak load. 0 to 100; higher is more responsive. |
| Network Interaction | Quality and consistency of network communication. 0 to 100; higher means cleaner network behavior. |
Each metric appears as a line graph in the Performance Metrics (24 Hours) chart on the Monitoring page. The chart displays the past 24 hours of data with no time-range selector.
What do the three alert severity levels mean?
| Severity | Meaning | Action required |
|---|---|---|
| Critical | The system is degrading or has failed a key threshold. Shown with a red indicator. | Immediate attention. |
| Warning | The system is approaching a risk threshold. Shown with an amber indicator. | Review and act soon. |
| Info | A notable event occurred. Shown with a blue indicator. | None. |
I'm seeing a Critical alert. What do I do?
- Open the Monitoring page and select the Critical alert to expand its detail panel.
- Check whether a View suggested fix link appears. If NimbusWiz has identified a likely cause, the link takes you directly to the relevant Troubleshooting page.
- If no suggested fix is available, open the Troubleshooting log viewer and filter to the affected system to investigate further.
How do I acknowledge an alert?
On the alert card in the Active Alerts section, select Acknowledge. Acknowledging marks the alert as seen by your account but doesn't resolve it. The alert stays active until the underlying condition clears.
Acknowledge is a planned feature currently in progress.
What are predictive insights?
Predictive insights are advisory notices generated by NimbusWiz based on metric trends and Quirk Profile data. They appear in the Predictive Maintenance Insights section below the metric graphs. A typical insight looks like this:
"Stability Index has declined 8 points over the past 5 days. Further degradation is likely within 72 hours. Consider running a new scan."
Insights are advisory. They don't trigger automatic actions. They surface early so you can act before a threshold is breached.
What does "System Modernized" mean?
System Modernized is a status badge applied automatically when a system has completed the full modernization pipeline and its monitoring metrics are consistently within healthy ranges.
The status isn't permanent. If a Critical alert is raised and metrics fall below healthy thresholds, the badge is removed until the system stabilizes again.
How's anomaly detection different from alerts?
Alerts fire when a metric crosses a fixed threshold. Anomaly detection compares current behavior against the system's established baseline and Quirk Profile, then flags deviations that are unusual for that specific system, even if they haven't crossed a general threshold.
An anomaly may generate a Warning or Critical alert, depending on severity. NimbusWiz also links the anomaly to any related quirks or to a Troubleshooting View suggested fix link if one is available.
